The machine will complete the wash cycles but will no drain. Once the cycle gets to the drain cycle in the process the machine stops.

What could be causing this and what are the part numbers?

That is a Whirlpool built 'direct drive' washer design.

If the timer stops moving right at the drain/spin portion of a wash cycle and never moves on, there could be a problem with the lid switch (see the following link).

A washer will not going into the spin cycle (where draining also takes place) unless the washer can be sure the lid is closed, as a safety precaution. It is the lid switch which is responsible for detecting that.
