I have an Amana washer machine model # LW8203W2; manufacture code PLW8203W2B that howls and leaks. I plan to replace both the upper and lower bearings and install seal kits. This is my first appliance repair. I have done many mechanical repairs so I am comfortable tackling this project. Are there any instructions and special tools I can access to make this go faster and smoother?

Ah, there's nothing like getting right out of medical school and going right into the operating room and performing brain vascular surgery wearing boxing gloves?

Most service technicians *even with experience* don't like doing that job (see the following link - although about a slightly earlier Amana model). It could easily take a *trained* and properly equipped service technician 1.5 - 2.5+ hours to complete.
