Asbestos, we know, have been found in certain sidings, on pipes, floor tiles, and roof tar. Could it be found in certain paints that are used in painting garages and basements (Grey paint type) which may contain polyurethane in it? Would that be considered a textured paint found to possibly have asbestos material in it? Please advise.

It would be very unusual for asbestos fiber to be present in a coating like you describe...not impossible, but unlikely. Even if present, the fiber could not become airborne unless sanded.

I found an asbestos coating on a cement block wall five years ago. It was as thin a paint. It had been trowelled or painted on the entire surface like a skim coat. It made no sense to me why it was there and it caused fits for the building owner but it was unmistakably asbestos.

Tom is right about it being low risk and not necessary to remove. The only way to know for sure if it's there is to test it.
