We have an indoor/outdoor room (breezeway) between the house and garage and need to replace the ceiling tiles. Above the tiles are joists with insulation in-between. It looks like old fiberglass insulation, and has paper backing that has deteriorated with age (30 - 40 years old?). Was there ever any paper-backed insulation that looked like standard fiberglass (puffy, fibrous stuff with paper backing) but contained asbestos? This stuff is not pink, but looks like fiberglass and is the standard width that fits between floor joists.
Thanks,
