Central AC

We just moved into a home with central Air and would like to know what routine maintenance we need to perform on the unit. It works perfectly and we have no problem with it. Thanks

The owner's manual for your make and model AC tells what maintenance the manufacturer recommends you do, like cleaning around the unit, changing the filter.

You want a professional to make sure that the electrical connections are all clean and tight. You want to makes sure there are no leaks. You want readings to tell that all the adjustments are the way the factory designed them to be.

It is unreasonable to believe that over time a machine will not wear nor go out of adjustment. Do you believe you can go many years without having a car serviced? An HVAC system runs far more than just three hours a day as a car would. Service gives more assurance that a problem would be fixed before the cold or hot weather.

Most quality service companies write down exactly what they will cover in a service agreement and will give a check list of the things to you they checked during a service.

Yes, you really have to find out the MAKE and MODEL to get good answers. There IS more than one machine made.
