I have a small room in my condo. It has no windows, as its an interior room. Now, here is the problem. Below this room, and our kitchen, it the Laundry room/Boiler room. So this room really heats up.
The room has a double wide doorway, with accordian style doors on it right now. We are about to put in french doors, as it about to become a nursery. The main problem is right now, when the door are shut, the room can heat up to almost 90 degrees. I installed a ceiling fan this weekend, which helps alot when the doors are open to draw in some cool air. But my problem is, how can I cool it when the coor are shut.
I attached an image with a general layout of the room. One wall is shared. One wall is the exterior hallway wall. One wall is between this room and our kitchen and then the other end it the opening to the living room, which is where the french doors will go. There is space above the doorway, so I didn't know if I should put vents in or what to do. Any help or suggestions would be great. |

Unfortunately I cant cool the room below it. As I mentioned in the post, its the boiler room for the building. There is a vent in the room that vents to the outside, but the management company will not put a fan on it.They said it was the fresh air intake for the system. So cooling that room is out. If anyone has any other ideas I would love to hear them. |
