I would like to build a deck platform for an inflatable pool. The deck would be about 12" above the ground. The pool is 9' x 18' x 52". My calculations indicate that this would weigh about 42,000 lbs which would mean that I would need to support about 260 lbs per square foot. First, a concrete slab is not an option. So, I'm looking for any other means of supporting this kind of weight. I really would like a deck option, but am open to any other ideas. |

At 260 lbs per square foot you would need to get a structural engineer, a typical deck is designed for 40 lbs / sq ft.
