Please help my 2 yr old put dish washing liquid in my dishwasher and now it won't work. It will run water in but will not run the cycle, drain or anything!!! Will it have to be replaces or is there some way I can Fix it?

Is it making any sounds (like a motor running, etc.)?

Dish washing detergent shouldn't affect operation of the dishwasher. At most it should only generate (probably lots of) suds during a wash. If you can't hear the motor running when it should be washing or draining, someone will need to look into why. That shouldn't have anything to do with the detergent.


BTW. If you need further help please post the appliance's brand name and exact model number so we can look up which dishwasher design you're dealing with.
