Electric Tankless Steam Heating Residential boilers

10/10/2008 04:17 PM nalibali

Bob,
Weil-McClain used to make an Electric Tankless Steam boiler. My Project is that I'm replacing my oil fired combi boiler. I've got the hot water solution. Two-tankless hot water units in parallel. But, I'm having great difficulty with the Electric Steam boiler. Do you know of any suppliers with Electric Residential Steam boilers, either Tankless or the usual Electric Steam boiler. I'm looking for something in the 72 kw/ 220btu/lbs/hr range. No more Oil or Gas for me and my home.

Thanks for all your help

Electric Steam Boilers

Yes, our company, Reimers Electra Steam, Inc., manufactures electric steam boilers. Our Model RHC-72 will provide 72 KW of saturated steam for residential or commercial heating.

NOTE: These small boilers only work on two pipe systems (i.e. systems with steam traps & condensate returns). They will not work on a single pipe (Hartford Loop).

Hey Rodger, No Hartford loop then how does this type of boiler pass an ASME section IV inspection or NBBI even with a LWCO W? manual reset?

The Hartford Loop deals with the return from the system.

Small electric steam boilers utilize condensate return tanks. Each of our units meet ASME SECTION I, PARTS PMB & PEB. Our larger units meet ASME SECTION IV. All of them are inspected & registered by the National Board of Boiler Inspectors.

Roger,
How does this Help me! How hard would it be to fit your unit with the Hartford Loop? I'm sure easier than me adding extra piping and radiators replacements for an seperate return. I'm still looking.
Thanks

This will not assist you. Electric boilers are not suitable for one pipe systems.
