Who can I contact who could come to my home and take an air sample? Something in the home burns the eyes, causes sinus problems and headaches. I just dont know what it is. I thought it might be moisture so I put a ridge vent on my home. It did help somewhat but didnt solve the problem. I want to get this taken care of before winter hits here in PA.

You've posted this problem so many times already.......You had an inspection.....he noted the missing vents.......you still bought the house.......you don't need another inspection.....

You need a Plumber.......

You have un-vented plumbing pipes in your bathroom.......the drainage pipes should also extend out your roof to let the septic gases vent to the air outside.......

The unvented fixtures quickly lose there water seal and allow the gases to enter the house.....this is serious........

This is the source of your funky house smell......You can't "blow" this away...the more the attic fan pulls the MORE smell comes out the fixture......the normal trap is empty and the gas enters the house.....

I did pay to have a ridge vent put on the house. He also changed the bathroom vent, put a flat vent on the roof. So the roof has been vented. That did help. The problem still exists. So now what. I am having a bathroom fan installed to help.

The plumbing drain pipes..........they need to vent above the roof........

Well there are a couple things here. First, have you had your water heater checked for carbon monoxide. Your maladies sound like carbon monoxide poisoning. I could be mistaken, but I've run into it many times. And a bath fan will also draw in air down the water heater vent, causing the water heater to produce carbon monoxide, when it should be producing carbon dioxide, which doesn't have any symptoms.

In addition, your need a plumber to evaluate your plumbing to make sure its vented properly. Vents should not be flat vented. Vents should be run vertical. Many people, think they have vented everything right, but there are specific limits on the length of the trap arm, the height of the vents and the size of the vents. Any diviation will cause you to loose trap seal. If you are on a septic tank, only one vent up the roof will cause the same problems.
