The staircase in our foyer is currently carpeted. We would like to remove the carpet and just have wooden treads. The right side of the stairs fits into wood attached to the wall and the left side has a wrought iron and wooden hand rail. The problem is the wooden treads under the carpeting is not of a quality that we want to try to refinish. Is there a refacing system for open staircases? If not, how would one remove the existing treads and insert new ones without dismantling the whole thing? Thank you for whatever ideas or suggestions you may have. HGA |
