Any comments on a construction technique called Permanent Wood Foundation (PWF)? Generally, how does it compare to more conventional types of construction, durability, things to look for when buying a house using it? Any advice, news or links would be helpful. Jerry, check out http://www.cwc.ca. The Canadian Wood Councel publishes a book on PWFs. Plan on using one when I finally build a house. Supposed to be just a strong as concrete and life expectancy > 75 years. longer if proper drainage is maintained. Those who have them that I have spoke to think that they are great. But there is this perception that concrete is superior. Technically PWFs are superior, if you look at the facts. Bruce, |
