We are moving into a house that has electric radiant ceiling heat (the house was built in 1972).

We'd like to add recessed lighting in the kitchen, but I'm concerned about damaging the system when we cutting into the ceiling.

Is there a way to know where the elements lay in the ceiling? Other concerns?
