Resilant bars?

12/16/2006 09:06 AM greegman

I've been told to use "resilant bars", a z shaped bar screwed to a joist to deaden sound. My local Lowes says they have never heard of them. We have a Home Depot and a Menards. Any of these or other places to find these?
Thanks

resilient channels

They are called resilient channels.

Probably need to go to a Dry Wall or accoustical supply house. But some lumber yards might also have them.
