Shingles melting?

07/14/2008 03:47 PM robinlee

I have been noticing that the tiles from the roof have this kind of little pieces of pebble (to make it have this look on them I guess), but those little pieces are always falling on my gutters, I think I have a overheating problem on the roof making the tiles slowly melt (either that or the single is just low quality), and I would like to see if one those fans that look like a rotating sphere would solve the problem.

I know there is holes on the sides allowing to get air into the attic because I had them review when we put more insulation on the roof this spring, and the guys put those plastic canals so the new layers of insulation would not block them, I have at least 3 roof vents on the top of the roof, but I remember when I have been in the attic before the insulation job would be hot to the point of sweating, not sure if that's normal on a hot day, but I would like to get some opinions.

Any advise would be welcome

Thanks

PS, I am not sure if I should have posted here first or the forums, please forgive as I posted on forums without knwoing about the BBS, sorry about that.
