I'm in the process of building a new home and am putting a stone veneer on a portion of the exterior. I began putting the metal lath on this evening and ran into a question. I watched the installation video at the Eldarado stone website and it said to place the metal lath with the cups pointed up. It also said that when put up correctly you can run you hand down the lath and it will feel rough and smooth when you run your hand up. I put it up using this recommendation, but when I look at it I'm almost positive that the cups are facing the wrong direction. It actually feels like it would hold better the way I put it up, but I think it is opposite of the installation recommendations. Any tips on telling which way is actually correct? Will it matter if I put some of it up the wrong way already? |
