Today i just scraped, hammered and used a shop vac to get the tile flooring off in a 15x20 room in a building that was built in 1930.There was alot of dust in the air and my eyes started to burn after a bit.I only had one of those cheap dust masks on for about 75% of the day.I found out after i just did this job that they used asbestos in tile flooring. There was no air circulation in this room, just me ,old green tile broke up into a bunch of pieces and alot of dust from scraping it up.After looking on the internet for the last 2 hours I guss i did everything that you are not suppose to do when removing old tile all at once.I even got some good dust from when i dumped the shop vac out in the dumpster..So do i just count on lung cancer and being dead in about 10 years from that kind of exposure? |
