pool solar panels

08/29/2008 11:45 AM jaadan

i have pool solar panels on my comp roof that i have disconnected due to lack of necessity....
will removing the panels change the temperature inside my home? my theory is black panels designed to absorb heat whether active or not still absorb heat...transferring that heat to the house....
this week the weather is 100+ (sacramento valley) and ideas are appreciated

If you have no roof leaks

I would not remove this unless you are planning to re-roof.

These are probably fastened through the shingles and removal would neccesitate patching the roof.
And I would not open that up if I were you.
