Framing and Wiring for the Future (HA1204)


Framing continues in this episode, as Dan Enright and crew work on the home's hip roof and the truss system over the garage. In the basement, Bob talks to Tim Woods from Internet Home Alliance about the special wiring that is being installed to make this farmhouse a "connected home," as well as the concept of "connectivity" and what it means it terms of distributing information and entertainment throughout the home. Finally, Bob tours a space station mock-up at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Tx., for the ultimate example of a connected home.
