Bob begins a new season in Brooklyn, New York, in an area known as “DUMBO,” or Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. With beautiful downtown Manhattan in the background, Bob begins with a brief history of Brooklyn’s waterfront area. Next we’ll meet Bob’s son Chris Vila, the project manager, and discuss what’s in store for our brick building. Initially, the property was in a bit of disarray, but the developers are confident there is enough to salvage. Chris and Bob tour the building, which is slated for three floors of residential space, with the first floor reserved for commercial use. The initial plan calls for each floor to be designed by a different architect. Chris chats with Jared Della Valle and Andrew Bernheimer who will be tackling the second floor space. Outside, Bob talks with Jack Beyer of Beyer Blinder Belle about his plans for the façade restoration.
