| Tabor
|
 |
Generally used in the flooring and coating industries. It is an abrasion test done to measure the hardiness of a finish. The tabor rating is based on the number of revolutions a sanding disk with a specified force or weight applied to it takes to penetrate the underlying material. A greater number of revolutions equals increased wear resistance. |
| Tachometer

A device that measures rotational speed in revolutions per second. |
| Tack coat
|
 |
An application of asphalt onto an existing paved surface that is to receive a new coat of asphalt. The tack coat bonds the new coat to the existing surface. |
| Tack hammer
|
 |
A hammer with a magnetized head that holds a tack in place. |
