Some cabinet makers claim that the band saw is the single most impotant stationary tool in the workshop, because the blade circulates like a ribbon, it allows you to make curved cuts for chair seats or round table tops. The bandsaw is ideal for cutting lumber of considerable thinkness. You can even stack seval pieces to make identical cuts to save time.
