Lighting designer Markus Earley specified restoration-style fixtures from Rejuvenation for the new kitchen in the Drivers' lovely Carpenter Gothic-style home. A pair of schoolhouse pendants, with the look of lighting from the 20s or 30s, were hung off of a false beam over the dining area in the multi-use kitchen. Rose City, as the selection is called, is Rejuvenation's best selling fixture. Markus chose a pair of similar Schoolhouse-style fixtures (Jefferson) for the sitting area by the gas stove. These fixtures hang closer to the ceiling and provide general lighting to the room. The Drivers selected a brushed nickel finish for both styles.

Since its founding in 1977, Rejuvenation Lamp & Fixture Co. has become the country's largest manufacturer of authentic reproduction lighting, including Victorian, Arts & Crafts, Colonial Revival, Neoclassic and Atomic Age styles.

Available direct to customers through its 88-page catalogue or online, Rejuvenation lighting includes over 280 authentic chandeliers, sconces, porch lights and lamps—each made of solid brass or cast iron—and 11 finishes. Fixtures are made to order to meet customers' construction requirements and shipped from Rejuvenation's Portland, Oregon manufacturing plant typically within 1 to 3 weeks.

   
   
Also in Portland is Rejuvenation's 30,000-square-foot retail store, by far one of the nation's most interesting and extensive "restoration" centers, featuring over 15 tenants specializing in new and vintage period products and services.
