A contractor just finished a 10x14 deck of tongue and groove, untreated pine for a client and she has asked me to repair a leak discovered by the duplex dwellers below her, the water falls on their deck. I have looked at the work and am wondering what kind of treatment/repair to suggest to her. There is a patch of what looks to be PL in the suspect area. Obviously the wood needs to be treated in the process, any suggestions??
Also what is the best way to clean a patio deck, what products work well, is a pressure washer the way to go? and what to use to preserve the wood. It is a 40' x 40' area.
