Try this.
1. Unplug the unit from the outlet for a few minutes, this will reset it.
2. Make sure the carriage is not jamed up against the stop bolt on the "T" rail.
3. How many times does the LED flash? The amount of times it flashes tells you a possible error with the unit.
4. Try/look at these and it will give a better understanding of the issue at hand.
