I recently installed Home Depot's Home Legend bamboo flooring in my dining room and am mostly pleased with the outcome. However, several of the joints (ends of planks) are separating over time. I am able to kick them back in place, but am a little upset that it is doing this to begin with. I noticed that when I was laying the floor that the planks didn't lock together as I would have hoped.
My question is, would it be ok to run a bead of glue along the end joints of each plank to ensure they stay together? My main concern is expansion/contraction. It's too late to fix my dining room, but I planned on eventually continuing the bamboo throughout the kitchen. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
